RULES OF SCL
SCL strongly believes that the
naked human body, whether male or female, looks much better without hair; that
smooth skin suits men and women alike and that nobody can be too smooth. The club has been formed to help those who
share this view to meet in naturist surroundings and to promote the ideal of
naturism without hair.
1 Membership
1.1 Membership of SCL is
available to single persons or to couples over the age of 18 years
1.2 Members are encouraged to
support the club's objectives by removing pubic or other body hair but (subject
to clause 3) depilation is not compulsory
1.3 SCL reserves the right to
refuse any application for membership if in the opinion of the Organiser such
membership would not be in the interests of SCL or any or all of its members or
for any other reason whatsoever
1.4 Neither SCL nor the
Organiser shall be under any obligation whatsoever to disclose to an
unsuccessful applicant the reason for the application being refused
1.5 Members will only be
entitled to continue to be members for so long as they have paid the annual fee
or subscription (if any) to SCL when such fee or subscription falls due
2 Confidentiality
2.1 Members must not disclose
(in any manner whatsoever) to any other person or persons the name, the
address, the telephone number, description or any photograph or likeness of any
member or former member of SCL ("the subject member") without having
obtained the prior written consent of either the Organiser or the subject
member
2.2 Without prejudice to the
specific requirements of clause 2.1 no member shall do, say or write anything
which identifies or could lead to the identification of the subject member to
any person or body
3 Events
3.1 SCL will, from time to
time, arrange get-togethers ("events") for its members and will
provide a list of events but all members are responsible for checking all
details to ascertain the accuracy of the list and the suitability of events
prior to attending any event
3.2 Members must comply with
all rules and regulations which are in force at any venue at which an event is
held
3.3 When an event is stated
to be a "smooth" event, depilation is compulsory and anyone wishing
to attend must remove all trace of pubic hair and stubble before entry to the
event will be permitted
3.4 When an event is stated
to be a "totally smooth" event full-body depilation is compulsory and
anyone wishing to attend must remove of all trace of hair and stubble from
arms, legs and body (ie hair-free from the neck down) before entry to the event
will be permitted
3.5 All events will be
naturist events unless otherwise stated and nudity shall be compulsory (except
where common sense dictates otherwise)
4 Behaviour
4.1 Members must behave in a
proper manner whenever attending an SCL event or whenever they speak to or meet
any other member
4.2 Members must not cause
offence to anyone else by reason of their conduct
4.3 Members must not contact
or seek to contact any other member whether personally, by telephone or in
writing unless the member concerned or SCL has given express consent to do so
4.4 In the event that a
member receives indecent or offensive material through the post from another
member or is offended by the conduct of another member the offended member must
immediately contact the Organiser

Termination
of Membership
5.1
The Organiser shall be entitled to terminate
forthwith the membership of any member if
5.1.1 the member has breached any of these
rules
5.1.2
the Organiser comes to the view that the continued
membership of SCL by such member would
be detrimental to SCL or is not in the interests of SCL or any of its members
or
5.1.3 the
member fails to pay the annual fee or subscription when such fee or
subscription falls due
5.2 In the event that a
membership is terminated in accordance with this clause neither SCL nor the
Organiser shall be required to refund the whole or any part of any annual fee
or subscription which the member concerned may have paid
5.3 The decision of the
Organiser to terminate a membership shall be at his sole and absolute
discretion and shall be final and binding.
The Organiser may give the member being expelled reasons why such a
decision has been reached but shall be under no obligation to do so
5.4 The Organiser shall be
entitled to report the termination of any membership to any or all other
members by providing details of the member's first name (but not further or
otherwise), the membership number and the reasons for the termination
6 Indecency or Obscenity
6.1 Notwithstanding the right
to terminate membership set out in clause 5 the Organiser shall be entitled, in
the event that he becomes aware that a member has sent indecent or obscene
material to SCL or to any other member or has behaved in an indecent or obscene
manner to report the matter to the police or to institute legal proceedings
against the perpetrator to protect the good name of SCL and its members
6.2 Any action taken by the
Organiser under clause 6.1 shall not be construed as a breach of the
confidentiality rules set out in clause 2
7 Liability
7.1 Neither SCL nor the
Organiser shall be liable for the actions of any member or former member
7.2 Each member of SCL is
responsible for his or her own personal safety (together with that of any
friends or guests) and for ensuring that any personal belongings are kept safe
at all SCL events
7.3 Neither the Organiser nor
SCL shall be liable for any personal injury to any member, guest or visitor or
for loss or damage suffered by any member, guest or visitor arising from or as
a result of the holding of any
event, the cancellation or curtailment of any event, any errors, inaccuracies
or omissions in any document, letter or leaflet distributed by either SCL or
the Organiser or for any other reason whatsoever

Subscriptions
8.1
All members shall pay a joining fee and for every
year thereafter an annual subscription
8.2 The annual subscription
shall become payable on 1st January in each year
8.3 The Organiser shall be
entitled to increase subscriptions at any time but no member shall be required
to pay any increase until his or her subscription becomes due
9 Amendments to the rules
9.1 The Organiser shall be
entitled to amend these rules at any time and in any way he sees fit
9.2 Any amendment to the
rules under clause 9.1 shall come into effect on the date details of such
amendment is circulated to the members
9.3 The non-receipt by one or
more member of the said details shall not prevent the amendment coming into
force
